Mission:  Our Mission for the Winter Edge Strength and Conditioning Program is to build robust and resilient athletes for sport and for life.

We are dedicated to nurturing athletes from the ground up, fostering a strong foundation of athleticism and resilience. Our comprehensive program emphasizes proper movement mechanics, injury reduction training, and mental fortitude, equipping athletes with the tools to excel in their respective sports. Led by a team of experienced division 1 strength and conditioning coaches, we create a positive and motivating environment where athletes can reach their full potential.

Each program will focus on the following components of holistic sports performance

Program Components

  1. Athlete Profile
    • Personalized program based on individual needs using force plate and NordBord technology
    • Movement screens for strengths, weaknesses, and limiting factors.
  2. Movement Preparation:
    • Comprehensive warm-up for soft tissue, movement, flexibility, and balance.
  3. Movement Training:
    • Speed, agility, and plyometrics with proper mechanics and angles.
    • Emphasis on landing and jumping to reduce injury.
  4. Strength:
    • Foundation for athletic performance.
    • Mastery of primary movement patterns before overload.
    • Focus on squat, hinge, push, pull, lunge, and loaded carries.
  5. Energy System Development:
    • Conditioning for metabolic demands of sport.
    • Improvement in aerobic capacity for repeated efforts and recovery.
  6. Recovery and Regeneration:
    • Cool-down routine for recovery, flexibility, and education.
    • Focus on stretching, breathing, sleep, hydration, and nutrition.
  7. Confidence
    • Mental development as well as physical.
    • One of our primary goals is to improve confidence in athletes.

Refund and Discount Policy:

  • A non-refundable $25.00 administrative fee will be charged for all cancellations. No refunds will be provided within 7 days of the camp start date
  • Teams of 20 or more will receive $100.00 off per person
  • If a child gets injured or sick within 7 days of the camp start date they will be refunded minus the non-refundable administrative fee of $25.00. The refund request must include a doctor’s note and submitted to George Greene at GeorgeGreenePerformance@gmail.com.

Who: Open to any and all athletes ages 10 - 18
*Athletes will be put into groups based on age and experience
When: Fridays
Time: 7:30pm - 8:15pm
Cost: $318.00
($300 + $18 Fee)

Location: The Winter Edge Strength and Conditioning Clinics are located at Stony Brook University within the Indoor Sports Complex and will be held in our state-of-the-art Dubin Athletic Performance Center. The 8,000 square foot space includes 18 work stations, 37,000 pounds of equipment, a designated speed and agility area, and multiple cutting-edge Keiser machines aimed to make our athletes bigger, stronger, and faster.
